About Larry

I literally grew up in the hospitality business. During my childhood and teen years, my parents owned and operated several types of restaurants and bars. In addition to the benefit of getting to go to work with my Mom and Dad every day for many years, I learned the right way to do every single job in the establishment – by doing it! 

 
I operated and owned a high-energy, Top 40 Nightclub/Restaurants and an outside Tiki bar that would hold over 1000 customers which featured DJs, live entertainment and concerts, seafood and crab feast, barbecues, sporting events, wedding receptions, and charities.

After a successful run for over 30 years, I decided to sell the business and move to Florida.

 
I had a lot of fun but at the same time I’ve always taken my job very seriously. I’ve spent years studying business standards and fundamentals, restaurants & club design, alcohol management, promotions, customer service, employee coaching/management, dance floor rotation, crowd interaction, music genres/formats and energy dynamics techniques. 

I’ve attended industry trade shows for over 30 years so that I could get to know and learn from the top gurus in different facets of the business. 

 
Looking back, I realize that the most rewarding part of my time as a Restaurant/Nightclub owner was assembling and coaching my team of professional bartenders, servers, security personnel, DJs and VJs and watching them consistently deliver the highest level of customer service. My goal in starting LarryMakeItHappen is to help your nightclub, bar, or restaurant to reach its full potential by assessing its operations and applying the knowledge I’ve gained over the years to your particular situation.
